Wojo and the Milwaukee community
« on: January 30, 2015, 08:01:02 AM »
I'm just curious if Wojo has made any particular choice on how he might become more involved in the Marquette/Milwaukee community. I haven't read anything in regards to what charities/groups he wants to throw his support behind (aka Buzz's Bunch). Thanks for any insights!

I know he and the players have made visits to Children's Hospital, starting last summer. I would imagine we'll see more of him around once he gets into the offseason, and gets a roster set for next year.

I agree

He was hired in April and immediately was on damage control (getting recruits to stay, finding Carlino, getting Henry, Cheatham and Heldt) and was probably living out of a hotel or apartment away from his family.  Then the season hit and that consumes about 100% of his time.

Now he lives in a house and his family is here.  With his life more settled and the season over in March, expect him to start moving on his community involvement.

The cat lives in The Quon, but makes a livin' in The City. If he isn't already involved, he will be. That's just part of his job description.

I never had any doubt about him doing 'something' but was just curious what direction he will take it. I agree with the assessments though that there is no way he could realistically have done anything in his short time with the program.
