Where are rebounding numbers by season's end?

I see that ESPN currently has us 346th in rebounds per game in the nation (is that dead last these days, or second to last?) at 28.0 per game.
I think that the numbers will improve a bit by the end of the season as there are some teams in the BE that we match up ok with, now that Luke's in the fold.
Plus, I look forward to next year's numbers looking very different indeed.

Things should start to look a lot different with Luke I would hope.

But I am far less worried about our total number as I am the margin.

We can keep snagging 28 as long as the other team is getting 24-32ish each game as well.

Although the more rebounds obviously increases the odds that the other team is shooting like crap as well.

We play at a slow pace tempo wise, which is funny with all the steals we have, so there are fewer chances. We are a little better than that at 309th best in allowing 36.5% of opponents shots to be grabbed by them for offensive rebounds - still bad but up several spots at 309th.

Since Fischer joined, MU has allowed just 25.3% offensive rebounding by opponents, meaning MU would be the 16th best defensive rebounding team in the country if that were the whole season.

So he takes MU from one of the bottom 25 defensive rebounding teams to one of the top 16 defensive rebounding teams. That won't hold up, but to answer your question it should get much, much better.

2 things:

1. We were giving up horrendous shooting percentages pre-Luke meaning fewer total rebounds.

2. We had no big man pre-Luke. We are averaging 32.0 since Luke is on the floor.
