Bad weekend for Big East
« on: December 21, 2014, 09:16:53 PM »
Just a really bad weekend for the conference.  Yes Villanova beat the Cuse in a really good game but, given their ranking and it being a home game, should have won it.  Some other ok news....

G'Town hangs on at home versus Charlotte
Providence beats UMass at home

Then the bad....

Butler was really never in the game versus Indiana.  Clearly overrated with their ranking
Xavier goes to overtime versus Auburn in Alabama and loses
Georgia beats Seton Hall solidly by 17 in Athens

Then the really bad....
Creighton goes on the road versus North Texas and lays an egg 62-58.

Don't want to end the non-con with a whimper.  Need to finish strong.

Georgia absolutely pasted SHU today. That game was never close.

Totally forgot that Xavier was going to 2OT...no I see they ended up losing.

Creighton...wow.
Lazar picking up where the BIG 3 left off....

Approaching equilibrium?

You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

North Texas with some Marquette Ties. Nice win for Coach Tony Benford and TJ Taylor contributed.

Face reality guys, the big east isn't going to be a powerhouse some years will have 2-4 good teams some will have more. The BE isn't going have a consistent top to bottom league most years.
