MU Alums in the Pros
« on: October 29, 2014, 11:13:39 AM »
Haven't seen anyone throw together a list yet for this season, so thought I'd start it. I always want to make sure I have tabs on our guys playing in the NBA or NBADL.

NBA
Wade -- Heat
Matthews -- Blazers
Butler -- Bulls
Crowder -- Mavs
Novak -- Jazz

NBADL (got this info off the league website)
Blue -- Idaho Stampede
Lockett -- Reno Bighorns
McNeal -- Bakersfield Jam

Who am I missing? Are those NBADL guys right?
What about Buycks, DJO, Lazar, Jamil? I'm sure there's info on this board dating back to the summer that I've just forgotten already.

Buycks is playing for Valencia Basket in Spain.

DJO is playing for Pallacanestro Cantù in Italy.

Lazar is communing with the spirits, looking for a job.

Jamil was just cut from the Suns training camp. Not sure where he is heading next.

Jamil is expected to sign with the Suns NBDL affiliate, which I believe is the Bakersfield Jam. Since he was under contract with the Suns, he is directly eligible for a callup by the Suns.

Did Toddler go undrafted in the NBADL Draft?  Hold the Mayo, I guess.

Was going to see where McNeal is positioned on the NBDL all-time scoring list since it seems like he's been racking up some time there.  His 2,019 points are not even top 25.  Former MUer Ron Howard leads with 4,325.  He's played at least 8 games for Fort Wayne (247 total) over each of the past seven seasons.  D League MVP and D League Finals MVP last season, but still can't break in.

That's probably not going to be as expensive as one would think.
Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.
