2012 rookie Anthony Davis suffers concussion, ankle injury and then season-ending knee injury.

2013 rookie Nerlens Noel misses entire season due to knee surgery.

Now 2014 rookie Julius Randle breaks his leg:

Sad news. Though entirely different players, Randle and Burton both have a similar way of attacking the basket. I always enjoy watching guys who seem to have a reckless approach to rebounding and getting to the rim.

On the bright side Davis is on the cusp of being a top 5 player in the NBA so he can hope to overcome this "curse".
