Looking at the family ties, Wisconsin may win out.

I've never seen her play, but her skills are off the charts for a girls high schooler is what I've heard from people whose opinions I trust completely.  She has her choice of any school she wants from what I understand too, highly doubt MU or UW gets her.  There's so much more of a gap between the top schools of women's college ball and everyone else, I can't believe a player of her caliber chooses us or UW who have both struggled to mediocrity.  UWGB probably would have as good or better a chance IMHO.

Are you referring to her brother being a walkon on the UW football team?
Or that her mother's cousin is Ryan Evans that played hoops for UW and Bo.

Or because Arike is also Diamond Stone's cousin?

Yep, she is that good. Everyone has been in town to see her. Will end up at UConn, Stanford, ND, etc.

Well Marcus Laundry wife played for MU and that did not prevent him from going to Bucky.

Family ties work in funny ways

I've met the Ogunbawale's before. Her dad's a principle in MPS (used to be at MLK Elementary, but not sure where he is now). I remember talking to him about Arike and where he would like to see her go/where does she see her self going. This was maybe two years ago so things change, but it didn't seem like he was high on MU then. Greg liked UW though. He cited the Big Ten Network as desirable and that seeing her play was pretty big for the family.

We'll see what happens.

Haha Sports seemed to be pretty big in the family (I think the brother plays football at UW), so I'm sure that had a lot to do with the school selection along with the academic quality. Really smart and athletically gifted family.
