The Samurai Health Club in Barrio Baretto, Zamables, Republic of the Philippines offers, a "The Wind, The Rain, and The Lava" special for the American fighting man. As a health care professional Doc, I'm thinking they might cut you a deal as a professional courtesy.

I'd be willin' to do a courtesy OSHA inspection.

Idk bout that

Again, where in SoCal have you been? Anywhere from north of LA all the way down to SD is 70-80 degrees, sunny, and dry 95% of the year. You cannot possibly dream of better weather than SoCal.

Depends on what weather you like. If prefer a cool 40-50 so SoCal would be hell for me.

He only took visits to Cal and Marquette. You ever been to Berkeley? Not exactly what I would call warm weather.

Wojos got this

He visited Georgetown as well.

I meant an official visit. He took an unofficial to Georgetown back in June right?

Scuttlebutt seems to suggest that cal and mu are the final two. I think smart money is on mu

I think your takeaway should be an understanding that official visits are not a requirement of a guy committing. Happens all the time - guy commits without an official visit. Also not unusual for a guy to commit somewhere he hasn't officially visited despite having officially visited other schools.

Same with those who are into the weather thing.. happens all the time that guys play "in a different climate" than they are accustomed to.

Oh I know that. We got pierce without him ever stepping foot on campus. That doesn't change the fact that in this case, multiple sources have suggested that cal and mu are the final two. They could be a wrong, as sources often are, but that is what is out there

Couple of reasons based off his twitter why I think he chooses MU. Didno send nearly as nice of a tweet about cal and tweeted happy bday to Nick. I dunno, just a good feeling.

Anything to be concerned about in that he used the term "good" to describe his visit?

Never spent anytime in Health Clubs in the Philippines the three R&R's I took there back in the 60's. Did visit Corregidor once while there--not a very healthy looking place. Many fond memories of Manila and the surrounding area.

I will admit to having spent time in many a watering hole in both Olongapo and Angeles City. A man could relax over an ice cold San Miguel, some baluts, and a platter of monkey meat while his comrades in arms found a different, more earthy form of comfort upstairs. The Marmont, Red Baron Lounge, Marilyn's Blow Heaven, Bamboo Grove, Nipa Hut, Fire and Empire Lounge, and Samurai Health Club all catered to a variety of voracious appetites from the mundane to the unspeakable. Victory in the Cold War was forged on the sizzling hot anvil of Luzon R&R.

legs, what kind of shape were your shoes in when you went them in?

I have a pair that are pitted from salt.  Would love to send them back if the could save them.

I didn't have the salt issue--they replaced leather on the inside that was torn, new soles/heals of course (which I have done a bunch of other times).  You can send them in for recrafting, and if they cannot fixed damaged leather uppers (scratches too deep etc or maybe your pitting issue), they will tell you and send them back.  And you wouldn't want to do it unless it would fix the shoes because it relatively expensive.

I think it is coming down to MU and Florida State.  Staying close to home versus going away. I think we have made a good case that Haanif would be part of the MU basketball family. His family has decide what their comfort level is about sending him away to school.

Screw the weather the games are indoors anyways. Is a 15 degree day with a 3 inch pretty carpet of snow thorugh out the parks really much worse than a 110 degree 90% humidty day in southern CAL?

There is a lot to hate about So Cal, I know my days here are short by design, but in all the years I've lived here 110 and 90% humidity has never happened.  The weather is one of the few things I'll miss....it is beautiful pretty much all the time.

The two, three weeks of winter are 50 degree hell. Other than that , the weather is pretty much 70 degrees in SD. Don't miss the LA congestion.

Nah, never said that. Just willin' to inspect the Samuri workplace Crash described.

Samurai likely never had a "Health Inspection" which, had I been single, likely would have still kept me in the bar and not upstairs in one of the "Treatment Rooms."

Doc, for the love of all that is Holy, an inspection by the discerning eye of a skilled health care practitioner of the Oral Arts is badly overdue. Your country needs you!
