He's a point guard.

Nonetheless, I think ~20-25 is an appropriate ranking for him.

My mistake. Saw his scoring numbers (I think he had over 50 in the Illinois state tourney semis) and just assumed he was a 2.

Is he a point or a combo in college?

1 You don't know that.

2.What difference does it make, he's not our coach.

3. If it would have been "unacceptable" for Buzz not to land a top 5 big man from our home state will it be twice as unacceptable (double secret probation?) if Wojo misses on both? Just checking to see if there's any consistency to your outrageous "demands".
As always here is my cogent response:
1. You, I and all others do know that.

2. It does make a difference. Another reason El Buzzo split. Could not land the bigs.

3. Buzz had been recruiting Stone for a few years and had many advantages. Wojo has not. If Wojo misses on both, it will not be very pleasant, and many will be disappointed. I do not think he will miss on both.

BTW, I have never made an outrageous demand, unlike you, and your demands in your post.

Yeah, had 50+ in a loss in the state tourney and 50+ in another game just a few weeks earlier in an OT win against Boudreaux, who MU fans will dislike if the Warriors ever play against him (Boudreaux, that is).

But, Brunson is a PG all the way. In EYBL he was probably around a 28% usage guy, but 36% assist rate. A lotta shots, a lotta dishes.
Thanks for ruining summer, Canada.

Did we ever recruit him? He lives only an hour from campus.

I don't get into these rankings much other than to see if there are guys I think folks are way off on.

Now, onto some other guys who may be 'values' at their current ranking.. i.e., they are better than their newest ESPN ranking... and some other guys I just have random comments on...

Brandon Ingram #12. Not kidding.
Dwayne Bacon at #40. C'mon now. Big time. Had MU interest from the former clan... Floridian.

..and one I can't stress enough. #77 Horace Spencer. 77?! That is crazy talk. Watch for him to R I S E. Great year though.

edit: Oh yeah, I'll give you one more. Damontrae Jefferson isn't even on the list. Brewtown's own is sensational.

Updated ESPN rankings out..

Ingram still #12. Bacon jumps from #40 to #20. Word.

Horace goes from #77 to #59.

Yes, let's take shots at a person providing recruiting info. It's only, by its very nature, the future of our program and is in no way interesting or informative. Get it together, Jay Bee.

Updated ESPN rankings out..

Ingram still #12. Bacon jumps from #40 to #20. Word.

Horace goes from #77 to #59.

Horace Spencer's first game: Auburn wins 75-74 vs. UAB. "Cokley's shot was blocked by Auburn freshman Horace Spencer with 1.8 seconds left, allowing the Tigers to hold on for a 75-74 win in the 2015-16 season opener."  7 rebounds, 5 blocks in 20 minutes. Nice.

----------------

Dwayne Bacon named ACC frosh of the week. 146 ORtg, 27% usage, 41% shots, 34% DR%, 0 turnovers.

"TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (seminoles.com) -- Dwayne Bacon, who enjoyed arguably the best freshman debut in Florida State history with a game-high 23 points, a game high eight rebounds, two steals and one assist in 24 minutes played as a starter in the Seminoles’ season opening 109-62 win over Nicholls State, was named the ACC Rookie of the Week by a Blue Ribbon panel of media members who cover the ACC.

Bacon’s 23 points scored against Nicholls State are the most by a freshman in his first game at Florida State.

Bacon (Lakeland, Fla.) led the Seminoles with nine field goals made, was tied for game high honors with four free throws made (he was a perfect four of four of four from the free throw line) and made the first shot of his career – a 3-pointer– on the first attempt of his career only 18 seconds into the first game of his career.  He also pulled down a game-high eight rebounds as Florida State outrebounded the Colonels by a 42-21 margin."

------------

Brandon Ingram's first two games: 18 ppg, 129 ORtg, 25% usage, 30% shots, 8% to rate, 6% blk, 4% stl

As the only Auburn resident with MU season tickets I can only weigh in that they are going crazy here about Spencer's block to beat UAB. My friends who were there who played some college ball said the shot was clearly going in otherwise - though I've never been that good at judging.
The www.valueaddsports.com analysis of basketball, football and baseball players are intended to neither be too hot or too cold - hundreds immerse themselves in studies of stats not of interest to broader fan bases (too hot), while others still insist on pure observation (too cold).
