Not sure other than phones or tablet.  But,  keep raiding,  and I agree, getting that 3rd builder right away is the right choice.   Also,  make sure your barracks are full of training dudes before you raid,  they still keep producing,  while you look for a base to raid.  In the early stages,  your next round of dudes should be ready to roll to keep raiding.  Get to TH6, and you will be welcome in the Marqtte clan.

As I knew/know this, but working a new base up from scratch, I don't think you need to worry about maxing everything until you make the jump to TH7.    If you race to TH6, then max things out there, you'll be fine.

DFB-Pokal

One of the cool traditions of the DFB-Pokal.  In the first round, all the higher seeded teams play at the lower seeded teams - which are usually amateur or semipro.  Big payday for those teams.

I hope so. The people I'm playing against are terrible at video games so far.

Really, both.  I'm at TH8 and (without using gems) getting 2m for this, and 2m for that .. ouch.  It's a long slog.    Then it's 3m for something and you start all over.

Yeah, I'm upgrading my town hall to 9 right now. Upgraded everything at TH8 except for my teslas (upgraded them to 5, not 6) and one of my barracks is still level 9, though I should be able to finish that before the TH is finished. I would argue it's mostly tedious at this point, but I still enjoy the game as much as I did in the beginning, if not more.

One suggestion I would have for TH8 is to attack using barbs/archers/wallbreakers. Look for abandoned bases with 100k+ loot that is mostly in collectors. Building armies with giants and other troops is just way too expensive and makes things much more difficult.

Also don't bother too much with level 8 walls. After level 7 walls, the main benefit is intimidation.

Thanks--will do.  Didn't see the part about TH level 6 when I first requested--my bad.  Am currently on my second day at level 5 and building as quick as I can.  I'll try again once I've gotten to 6.
