Bump.  Let's watch the candidates dwindle.

Two transfers from the same Big Ten team to the Big East in the same year.  My story: its because of the coach at aforementioned Big Ten school, not the current situation in the Big East.

OMG, there's a guy from Grambling on the list.

You actually have a degree from Marquette?

Quote from: muguru
No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

TAMU, have you checked this list to make sure that these would actually be graduate transfers?

Nimrod Hilliard for instance just finished his junior year, but he has been at three schools in three years.  (South Dakota, Jacksonville (JC) and Lamar.)  It wouldn't be impossible for him to have graduated under such circumstances, but it would be very difficult.

But I agree that a graduate transfer with some size, if only to fill up the lane on defense for the fall, wouldn't be a bad idea by any respect.

TaShawn Thomas and Danuel House are transferring out of Houston with restrictions. They're appealing the restrictions plus asking to be eligible for next season. Thomas has good size and great numbers. Would be a great fit if they win their appeal for next year.

Yes, I have only listed players who should be eligible next season. However, I rely on journalists to be accurate. There could be some mistakes.

I saw those, I wanted to wait to list them until it was clearer what those restrictions will be.

I'm hearing whispers that LeBron James could be on the free agent market this offseason...

OP updated. Taran Brown (UC Santa Barbara) and Dwight Tarwater (Cornell). Both are stretch forwards that have good size and decent three point shooting...albeit against very low levels of competition.

And to think, Wojo was the recruiter (with Coach K) for Jahil Okafor and Looney! He also teamed with Capel and K for Tyus Jones.

EDIT:

Looking at the Juco list...

6'8" PF Obie Oleka was released by Texas a couple of months ago.
- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_q38gJiosIo

6'8" PF Willie Atwood got a look see back in March from MU, but no offer
- http://247sports.com/Player/Willie-Atwood-37755

There are few more on this list. Most already committed.

Pic 2 of 4----The Houston Transfers---Danuel House, TaShawn Thomas if restrictions are dropped.
Byron Wesley sounds like the best of all, even though he's 6-5. Read about him. Good report.
Still like Josh Cunningham 6-7 FR. If Du. Wilson is a 2G, then Go after Carlino. Had enough of Derrick.

OP updated. SDSU reserve big man James Johnson committed to Liberty yesterday. If that's the best offer he got, probably a good thing we didn't get him.

OP updated. Matt Carlino, #2 on this list, just became a Warrior. Clearly Wojo is reading my posts.

In addition to Carlino coming off the board, Yale big man Jeremiah Kriesberg found his new home at Northwestern.

Three new names have been added to get us to an even 20. North Carolina A&T's Richaud Pack is a three point machine. Scored 17 points a game on 38% 3P shooting.

Ricky Kreklow was the top bench player for Montgomery's Golden Bears. Decent size and shoots 33% from three.

Barely making the list at #20 is UCLA scrub Sooren Derboghosian. The 6-10 Iranian never saw much floor with the Bruins, but he has the size and is better than an empty seat.

Given the Carlino gives us 4 committed PGs, the list has been reordered to reflect our need for size.

The only downside I see to the Carlino commitment is that we won't have a guy named Nimrod next season.

I'm guessing Carlino has been called a nimrod at least once in his life.

Wojo was not the lead recruiter for Looney, but. They certainly know each other.

This is a little old, but looks like Oregon has been given permission to talk to TaShawn Thomas.

Agree. We'll only have 2 freshmen next season, so adding another to that class -- especially one at a position of need -- is a no-brainer.

You're kiddin', right. Just talked to him and his Mom. He was wearin' a UCLA hat. Told him I'll see him for a game at Pauley and want a seat on the bench.
