No wonder why Cuonzo had such troubles recruiting at Tennessee - he did it all via message board!

As demonstrated repeatedly on this board, Cuonzo's got a few more problems than just recruiting.

So coach Wojo is already so good he can pick and choose who he wants from Wisconsin? Save the scholarship, we need it for the talent coming here next year. Got it.

I guess I have to admit I'm happy to hear a certain local program's recent Final Four will have no bearing on the minds of in-state recruits.

I don't see anyone even implied that in this thread, so I don't know where that comment is coming from?

UW is of course an enormous force with in-state recruiting, but we'll see how much of a bump they get from their Final Four run.  I don't recall any bump at all following their 2000 appearance.

I think Crean failed miserably after our Final Four run, our recruiting classes were largely busts as I can remember until the James, Matthews, McNeal class, but that was a couple of classes after the 2003 run (they were class of '05) and it was really joining the old Big East that likely gave them that recruiting boost.  Their freshman seasons was our old Big East debut.

Other posters are right- no reason to self restrict to one less scholarship for 2014-15.   Next year's WI high school senior class is still very intriguing, and who knows what other out of state prospects Wojo and staff are eyeing.

It's right there for us to land a top 10 national recruiting class- start with getting a Diamond Stone commit (right now #5 in ESPN top 100) and we're well on our way if we can land 1 or 2 other 2015 WI kids and maybe another guy outside of WI in the top 100.

Easier said than done I know, but why not MU?!

You're gonna need to use teal so people know you're kidding.  I knew because its obvious to me that there's no way you'd know who this kid was.
What is teal?

What is teal?

A shade of blue that's a change from the default black print color.

I wouldn't put too much stock in an increase in attention to Pritzl and Heldt - Wojo hasn't been around the Wisconsin scene, and it's probably just due diligence, while Buzz (and the players) had already made up their minds about one another. Could be something, I guess, but I wouldn't think anything has really changed.

Geteeeem!

Is that the extent of your ability to reply? No wonder why your interview went so badly.

Cords: How do you plan to continue the trend of attracting top talent to MU?

Cuonzo: Geteeeem!

... And now it all makes sense.

With Hill no longer in the mix, how likely are we to sign any of the guys that haven't been previously mentioned? In other words anyone not named Ellenson, Noskowiak or Stone.

I don't see Ellenson going to Marquette.  He's UW's to lose I believe.

Marquette was nowhere in the picture with Ellenson when Buzz was here.  Just being considered by him at this late point is great work by Wojo.  Landing him would be an epic recruiting win.

I must have missed this.  Do you have link that says he is considering MU?  Or just a source who is trusted and says it's a #donedeal that at some point Ellenson thought about Marquette, or heard of it?
