Last year Marquette vs. Syracuse at home (ideal seats, surprising comeback, enthusiastic crowd and I attended with good friend from Syracuse, which made it just a bit sweeter).

Just one word, and I think everyone will know the game I'm referring to: Kinsella.

This is the game that came to my mind as well.

But then I thought harder, and I think beating #2 UCONN in our first BigEast game is a better selection.

The Novak 3 vs ND was great basketball.  But the most fun I had at a game was the "bradley center bat game" vs Providence.  The PA guy started playing the BatMan theme.  Jake Thomas was trying to swat it out of mid air.  It dive bombed Ed Cooley as well as some forward from Providence who had to do a Matrix-style slow-motion-duck-and-lean to avoid it.  When they finally got it, the PA guy played "I will always love you" by whitney houston and the crowd sang along.  The delay killed the team's momentum, but it fueled the crowd.  I had at least a beer and a half during the interruption.

I have 2.

MU vs. ND in 1981 (my junior year). Glenn Rivers wins the game with halfcourt heave at the buzzer. The Arena is up for grabs. Michael Wilson (an excellent player from that era) celebrates by climbing up on the basket and sitting on the rim.

MU vs Duke in 1980 (my sophomore year). Game is held at Dane County Coliseum in Madison because NBC wanted it for that day and the Arena was booked. Unlike now, being on national TV was an immense honor back then because it was the only game on. Duke was a top 10 team and had All-Americans Mike Gminski and Gene Banks, among others. We built a big lead behind Oliver Lee and then held off a furious Dookie rally. Because the game was held in Madison, lots of alums didn't bother making the trip but lots of students did. It was a loud, raucous crowd and we stormed the court when it was over.

The Duke game had bigger implications -- we don't get an NCAA bid that year without it -- and it was an absolutely incredible atmosphere. But because I hate ND with every fiber of my being, and because I got to know Rivers quite well, that one has an extra special spot in my heart.

Yeah, that Duke game at Dane County Colliseum was a unique event.  Actually,  there were a lot of alums there as there were many bus loads from the MU campus sponsored by the Minuteman Club.  Good game.

The Duke game at Dane was a fun day and great win. Doc beating ND is high on the list as well. Not sure if I can pick a favorite, but if I had to it would be Luke beating the Badgers and Al on score table afterwards. Lot of great memories over the years.

MU - Louisville March 2, 2010

The team (and coach) is emotionally burned out, growing their hair out to protect their brains and needs a win.  MU finishes its 4th straight win in 10 days to play there way into the tourney.  The whole game was on edge but then MU just started taking it to Pitino -- he sits down in disgust -- then

- DJO reaches above the backboard to slam home a putback miss
- Buzz Freaks out on the side-line - everyone loves it
- Team clinches NCAA berth - fans go crazy
- Brad Forrester develops Walk It Out Fosse You-Tube Clip http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6HVd493yAhM
- Millions of players transfer into then out of program
- Shady dealings Happen
- Brad Forrester Dis-owns Buzz
- Three Sweet 16s ensue
- Buzz freak outs no longer seem cool
- Wojo replaces Buzz -- maybe Forrester comes back

A lot has happened since that game

Beating Syracuse last year.
http://statsheet.com/mcb/games/2013/02/25/syracuse-71-marquette-74

So much frustration from their cursed zone.  Seemed like the only game that we played where we had a clue what to do against it.  The crowd and the program seemed very hungry for that win.

Watching Wade play was something special to watch.

A lot of great games to choose from, but March 29, 2003 wins out for me. Being at the Metrodome to see MU beat Kentucky was the best. Outside of watching them win a National Championship, I don't know if it will ever be topped.

There are quite a few that stand-out (2004-Present),  but I'm going with the Conference Title clinching game at the Garden last year.

UConn 2006 and Notre Dame 2006 are certainly up there.

It was a loss, but the Georgetown game in 2008 was a lot of fun up until DJ fouled freaking Jonathan Wallace. I'll never forget the barrage of glo-sticks raining down from the upper-deck. Something tells me glo-sticks will not be making a reappearance anytime soon.

Yeah, this my favorite moment.  My friends already had tickets so I had to find just one seat.  I got "scalped" seats for $70 and was like five rows back from center court.  I was surrounded by Kentucky fans but they were pretty quiet for most of the game.   8-)

MU vs UL on 2/15/03. Stayed up drinking all night and went to the Bradley Center at 5 AM to get in line. I think UL was ranked #2 at the time. Spectacular game. Diener's game tying 3 with something like 15 seconds left, and Reece Gaines shooting over the trap and burying a 26 foot 3 pointer to beat us. The outcome sucked at the time, but I think that game gave the boys the confidence that we could hang with the big boys that year.

The Wake Forest game that season was pretty awesome too.

I agree with this sentiment. Also, I'm not sure people remember just how dominant that Kentucky team was and the position they were in as not only odds-on favorites to win title but many felt it was simply a National Champion procession they were on in Minneapolis on the way to New Orleans.
