Rough weather day in Orlando today. Tornado warning came through while we were in line for Twister at Universal (definition of irony)...airport was shut down most of the day or had limited L&T, not sure if they have caught back up yet. Hope whomever is traveling tomorrow has better luck.

Spent the day at Orlando Science Center with the kids... money well spent and didn't have to step a single foot outdoors.

Incidentally, my wife said something about a tornado warning just before we left the house this morning; her side of the family tends to pay attention to bad weather in places they know no one or have never been so I completely shrugged it off thinking she may have been looking at the weather forecast in Tulsa or somewhere in the belt.

I always thogught you could make a living picking hot stocks from anywhere in the world...

We lucked into a huge 5BR rental on VRBO for under $100/night.  Had to get down here and get the kid's stuff* out of the way early before the fun begins on Thursday.

* The "kid's stuff" is more to appease my wife. My kids keep asking when we can. Go to the Marquette game.

Stocks are just a part of the empire. I'm a handyman of sorts.

How far away is the house? Think they have hidden cameras installed? Be careful with that stuff. Maybe I'll cancel my hotel room and stay with your fam. We going shopping Thursday night / Friday morning or what? Need some new bath mats.

Thanks for ruining summer, Canada.

Ha!  I actually spent 5 mins in the bedroom last night looking for "spots" where cameras could hide.

What did you get there? Looks like a nasty northern Wisconsin supper club. I'm going to eat everything in sight in the media room and hope to only buy some fast food on Saturday. Even though money's no expense.

How am I going to be able to spot Scoopers in Orlando? I think it'll be easy. Look for the gimps.

I look somewhere in between a hot stud and Mike Hunt, quickly trending toward Mike Hunt.

Thanks for ruining summer, Canada.

I ask fellow scoopers to save me here in Orlando.  I will be hanging with three friends who are all Spartan alum.  They will be with me on Thursday but it could get ugly on Friday if we win the first one.

They are known for their Grouper. Nice wine list. Yeah, supper club feel but Orlando is all chains so it is nice to go to some place original. Disney always puts on a nice spread for the media.

As for spotting us gimps, see the picture below and look for me...I am all about the Gold. If I see a guy on Press Row who looks like he hasn't run a comb through his hair in five years, I will stop by and say hi.

Enjoy and Go Warriors!

I'm sure I stick out like a sore thumb in Orlando... I'm the guy with three kids running amuck.

BTW -- Another sh/tty weather day here... prolly not going to break 60.  Legoland postponed, so I'm going to take this opportunity to show my kids the seven different places where daddy has thrown up in WDW; conveniently, they're all in one place that currently goes by the moniker "Downtown Disney."

If you are looking for a change of pace food wise, and something that isn't a national chain I recommend: http://www.roccostacos.com/about.php
They have 4-5 locations in Florida and one in Brooklyn, NY.  Right off I4 near Universal.

Good guacamole, tequila list, scenery, etc.

What's the deal on Tollroads again? I mostly carry $100's - can they give me exact change?

Any heavy construction or other issues to look out for from the airport to "the area"??

Take the toll roads, all that will happen is you will get a bill in the mail 3 weeks later and you can pay online for a small fee. (I have never been fined.)

Not sure what "the area" is, but the major I4 construction is east of Orlando, and shouldn't impact you.  TR 417 also has a few projects, but traffic is so light on the tolls that typically it didn't matter.  I4 downtown to Disney can be a mess at anytime, for no real reason.

Or you can take the main road north out of MCO a mile to the Walgreens on the right, buy a portable transponder for $20. They'll make change for your hondos.

No other issues getting SW.

Oh, you are one of those -- why am I not surprised?  It's such a convenient reason why you can't tip anyone.

Do you carry them in a big money clip as well?
Have some patience, FFS.
