Heartbreaking...this is why MU cannot mess around with this stuff.  (And yeah...I realize that the National Catholic Reporter is a more liberal publication, but still...)

Curious to see if this gets covered, and how it will be spun, in the Chicago Tribune.

Curious as to the timing of this story.  All of this had been covered in the South Bend Tribune last fall....whats motivating the timing for re-releasing this story now?

Unless I'm missing something, this story has been around for awhile, and already covered in the Trib.

The new stories have far more detail about the incident -- both the specific nature of the allegations and ND's failure to investigate/address the situation.  Last year when the initial stories came out, I was fairly vocal on this board in my opinion that there was not enough information available to really know whether or not ND had dropped the ball and/or treated the accused player more favorably than other students.  This new information, if true, makes ND look pretty bad.  I would think that it would warrant at least a follow-up article by the Tribune.
