Who did you steal that from?  Or did Tan Tommy give it to you when he left?

I got it from Buzz, the good man, great coach that put us on the map.

To answer your question, I own it.

In those years, seven of us guys traveled from up north twice a year to see MU and the Bucks play on weekends. Stayed on Blue Mound and Hwy. 100. Lived like kings till we had to go to work on Tuesday mornings. We had it in our minds about driving to Atlanta for the final four. MU's record wasn't the greatest, so stayed home. Never figured. A friend and I were MU fans since we met Al (twice) and we worked amongst many Wisco fans.Good times for 25 years, then we got married. So, we still bleed MU. Warriors. Still have the post cards by the Rolls.

Hey MrSquido50,
Another freshman band member here who was lucky enough to make the trip on the bus. Remember it like yesterday. Still got "Give 'em hell" shirt (how I wish it still fit), ticket stub(s) and 1 inch piece of net. Damn that was a hell of time! Joannie Bohmann (sp?) still gets my vote for favorite cheerleader (famous pic of her holding big "1#" in Journal) although you can't forget Gail Pudvan (rumored to be PB Bunny - never confirmed) but I'm not sure she made trip to Atl. Was in Phoenix last Thur trying to re-live the magic - want to feel it one more time before before they close the lid on me. I think Buzz get's us there - quirky and non-MU folks don't like him, just like Al in his own Texas way. Gonna do a few shots tonight...

Gail Pudvan (rumored to be PB Bunny - never confirmed)

Pudvan worked as a cocktail waitress at a Playboy Club bar in Lake Geneva. Big difference. She and Butch Lee were, uh, friends...

35 years ago today.   My freshman year, and I still have sweet memories.  I think 4ever was at the game.    God Bless you Butch Lee.

Absolutely, have a strand of the championship net too and no it's not for sale. The entire Warrior experience throughout my 8 years (fron NIT Champ to NCAA Champ) at MU is priceless.

Is it true that you were almost kicked out in year seven, and were the original source for the line; "Seven years of college down the drain?"
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Pudvan's cheerleading partner lived in the dorm room across the hall from mine.  When she would stop by his room, our room became the most popular room on the wing.

My wife was an MU cheerleader in 80-81. They have a community that keeps them connected. I know she is in touch with a few of the folks. She was an alternate the year before and was close to the Bennetts (their uncle is Lerone Bennett) and Rondell. Gail Pudvan is not active at all.

Shame that a girl as attractive as Gail isn't active. Then again, she was super active in college. Just sayin'.

I'm in Memphis this week.  Apparently, Elvis could see 35 years of championship drought coming and he checked out of the Heartbreak Hotel in August, 1977.
