Snaer would be a program changer for us. It would sure as heck make me a
Buzz believer.

FSU.  Lets move on and come on down Jamil Wilson.  Good effort though Buzz.

Once again, Darn Milwaukee, I think its time we put the entire campus under a heat lamp, to make the climate more tropical

Snaer claimed he didn't care about the climate.  Must have been the hot FSU girls.  And the coach.  We'll see if he's still there next year.

Or just start shipping in some co-eds from FL on recruiting weekends!

Screw that.  If he wants to be part of a sub-par ACC team I say good riddance.  He can take his posse with him.

Give Leonard Hamilton credit, he may get fired for being a terrible coach, but he'll have yet another top 30 recruit on campus when it happens.

Maybe that's what happens with our guy....great recruiter and who knows about as a coach.  I guess we'll find out in a few years.

The parallels between Shumpert and Snaer's recruiting are kind of interesting.

MU in the final three for both.

National Power (UNC & Kansas) in final three for both.

Recruit ends up choosing second tier ACC School for both over MU and traditional power.

Just thought it was interesting.

I thought the exact same thing. At least Snaer didn't pull a Shumpert and have a three ring...errr...three hat circus. I wish him the best of luck at FSU. The bright side is that we still end up with a top 10 2009 class, and Wilson is still out there...Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Snaer was never going to attend Marquette. His selection was made because he was pushed to play for a black coach. Besides, there isn't any room at the inn for Snaer at this point.  ;)

In yet another twist in his recruitment, we're out.

On Sunday, he named a final five without MU, then later that day expanded it to a final seven that included MU.  On Tuesday, he did an interview with one of the ISU fan sites and gave a final six that did not include Marquette.

There's another parallel as well.  Both Georgia Tech and FSU have coaches that are on the hot seat despite being great recruiters.  Hamilton(FSU) has had at least 2 consensus top 100 players every year since 2003, and Hewitt(GT) had multiple top 100 players every year until last year when he only got Shumpert.

They may be mid tier schools in the ACC, but they rake in top level talent every year.

HAH!  We have like the #5  recruiting class in the nation right now.  I guess we don't have any elite prospects, with 3 in the top 100.

Who said our class was Top 5? I have not read that anywhere

Hoopmasters and Hoopscoop both have the class as #2.  Both of those services really like Cadougan and Williams, ranking both in the top 20 overall.

Snaer just wanted to say he was teabagged by a future UNC and soon-to-be NBA star.

Last I heard ESPN had MU's class ranked #5...I've seen anything from 2 to 15, if Buzz can do that every year I'll be thrilled.

Jamil Wilson remains the target. Local kid and big upside potential. Snaer was long, long shot at best. Wilson will make recruiting local talent much easier.

The more I think about this, the better I feel. He might have been a good get, but I smell trouble.
