Madison Viewing Location for Marquette Games
« on: November 14, 2008, 11:00:48 AM »
I asked this during the summer, but now that smokey bones is closed what is the best location for watching the MU games in Madison this year, I live in the east-side but I just want to knwo if there are other dedicated alums in the area that wnat to get together and discuss the games, and scream at the officials.

Try sending a pm to ZiggysFryBoy. He provides all the free food and beer at his digs. You just clean up your share of the vomit at the end of the game. Nice guy and family as well.

The game is on a Saturday evening.  I'd suggest watching the game on MU's campus if you can't find tickets in the next month :)

4ever isn't invited over any more after he clogged the john so bad the roto-rooter guy barfed his cheerios.

mover, I forgot pooley's on the east side.  I don't have a dish, so I don't know what channel/package/etc the game is on tonight.

Thanks Ziggy, by the way, Ziggy (the man who owns the restaurant of the same name) quite possibly was one of the most uncomfortable people on earth to talk to. I hope your name is in reference to him. Otherwise, I am always looking for a place I can yell at a TV.

Mayeb we can jsut huddle around a radio and listen to the lucid tones of Steven True and James McIlvaine, just like in the 40's when people huddled around to hear the latest episode of "The Shadow"......HOMER KNOWS.

It wasn't that long along we were huddling around the radio to listen to MU @ UNC-Charlotte.  Big East Hoops is amazing.

Um...some of us are still hovering around listening. Why didn't Full Court pick this game up? I mean, c'mon. It is Houston Baptist.

Byrd's in Fitchburg (owner is an MU fan) would usually put the game on.  Gerald Posey has since moved from the Fitchburg area to Waunakee and Byrd's is no longer a close drive.  Would be interested in a north side venue that carries MU games.  Pooley's?
