Travis Going Back To Italy?
« on: July 22, 2017, 05:11:13 PM »
I thought he might go back last year but it looks like he is going to play another year or two with Drake and his old coach. Dominating noon ball must have gotten old.

English translation:

As reported by 'The New Sardinian', Travis Diener is ready to go back to playing after three years of inactivity. Diener has decided to follow coach Cremona Meo Sacchetti and his cousin Drake. The trio that made the PalaSerradimigni crazy for three seasons will be re-used with Vanoli's colors, just being relegated to A2 series, but ready to take over the JuveCa-serta in the top series, in case the Campion Company's exclusion was confirmed . Irrespective of the outcome of the repetition question, Travis Diener said "yes": the final decision came yesterday.

another story from Thursday:  http://www.lanuovasardegna.it/sport/2017/07/20/news/meo-travis-drake-ci-vediamo-a-sassari-1.15639588

Cousins Diener and Meo Sacchetti return to the palace, though only by opponents. It is not the dream of a mid-summer night, but a very special possibility that is going to become official. To complete the year's operation and bring it back to Sassari's public, all together, three of the most loved characters of all time, misses only one detail, or two.

First of all, Travis Diener's signature is missing: Fond du Lac's play, which hung his nail shoes three years ago to work as an assistant at "his" Marquette University, has been in the head for a few months Get back on the parquet floor. At 35 years of age (born March 1st, 1982), the former Indiana Pacers player is physically quite intact, because he has always been in training for years. To move the balance completely and to blow it out, the idea of returning to the field was the move by Meo Sacchetti on the bench of Vanoli Cremona, followed by the arrival of his cousin Drake, 36, who was down from a season at Capo d'Orlando. Cremona has just been relegated to Serie A2, but has submitted a request for repetition and if the exclusion from the Serie A of Caserta will be confirmed, then the Lombards will have a secured place in the championship. And this is the second condition that would allow the magical trio of former to return to Sassari as opponents.

By putting all these bricks together, Travis started doing things seriously, speeding up the pace and undergoing athletic training for almost a month. Over the past few weeks, Meo Sacchetti and his staff took flight to the United States to attend the Summer League in Las Vegas and, "casually" but not too much, in Nevada City met with Travis Diener.

The TD12 would still be far from acceptable, but its general physical condition would be more than good and in any case the prospect, without the European Cups, would be to play once a week, maybe without getting too much of an exaggerated moment; To travel far less than it did in the last few years of career. Much better if Cremona did not get off. An element, this, which is not a condition that can send the air into the air.

At present, the two parties, after Las Vegas have exchanged a rough ok and a "resent", have to make a definitive decision, but the feeling is that the conclusion of the deal is imminent. For Cremona it would be a great hit; For Dinamo fans, who have seen the magic trio at work for three seasons in a row, from 2011 to 2014, something more than a dive into the heart.

So Travis is contemplating Italian for Diener?

Travis and his Cousin Drake will be playing for Vanoli Cremona in the Italian A League. They are following a coach they like. Coincidentally this is the same team DJO will be playing for this season.

DJO actually played for Travis' old team last season.  Small world.

Wojo's team must have had a few too many losses at noon ball on last second threes. :D
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

Quote from: muguru
No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

What's Novak up to these days?  He isn't signed to an NBA team.  Have him fill the role (and the spot on the noon games).
